Feathered Friends
The longing to understand our human place in the universe—to feel connected at a deep, primordial level with the natural world surrounding us is what I try to answer with images like this. The scene is simple; a flock of kittiwakes rests from the hardships of Arctic weather on an iceberg in the cold northern reaches of the Barents Sea.
